Celebrate the rhythms, movements and traditions of the African diaspora at DanceAfrica Miami 2025, a three-day cultural gathering featuring workshops, performances and community events.
Taking place August 1–3, this annual festival offers a range of experiences across two venues. On Friday and Sunday, Florida Memorial University in Miami Gardens hosts immersive dance, drum and song workshops led by master artists from Guinea, Senegal, Mali, Haiti and Cuba. These sessions are complemented by a vendor marketplace and a dedicated Children's Village.
On Saturday, the celebration moves to the Miami Beach Bandshell for a beachfront experience. Workshops are held outdoors, just steps from the ocean, allowing participants to engage in open-air sessions and enjoy the coastal atmosphere.
DanceAfrica Miami is presented by Delou Africa Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting African dance, drum, music and culture.
