A classic thriller returns to the stage in a stylish new adaptation that brings fresh tension and intrigue to one of the genre’s most enduring tales. As the fourth production in its milestone season, Actors’ Playhouse presents a suspenseful story of deception and desire that keeps audiences on edge until the final moment.

Dial M for Murder will run from May 13 to June 7, 2026 on select dates at Actors’ Playhouse at the Miracle Theatre. Adapted by Jeffrey Hatcher from Frederick Knott’s original play, this updated version reimagines the mystery that inspired Alfred Hitchcock’s 1954 film. The plot follows Tony, a calculating husband who sets out to orchestrate the perfect murder in response to his wife’s infidelity—only to have his scheme unravel in unexpected ways.

Part of the 2025–2026 Mainstage Season titled A Season of Truth and Illusions, this production pays homage to the psychological thrillers of mid-century cinema while introducing new layers of suspense. Single tickets go on sale August 1.
