Community service anchors this MLK Day gathering focused on neighborhood care and civic connection in North Miami.
The District 2 Community Clean-Up: MLK Day of Service, presented by the City of North Miami, honors Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy through hands-on volunteer action. Led by Vice Mayor Kassandra Timothe, MPA, the district-wide effort brings residents together to improve public spaces while strengthening community ties.
The clean-up begins at North Bayshore William Lehman Park and continues through City Hall and Downtown North Miami, offering participants the opportunity to make a visible, lasting impact across multiple areas of the city. Registration opens at 8:30 a.m., with activities running from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
