Don't Be Absurd
Oct 17, 2025 - Dec 19, 2025
weekly on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
From: 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Fiber art becomes a medium for philosophical inquiry in Women Pulling at the Threads of Social Discourse: Don’t Be Absurd, the seventh edition of The CAMP Gallery’s ongoing series spotlighting women artists and contemporary dialogue.
Exploring Absurdism through texture, repetition, and material experimentation, the exhibition invites more than 100 artists to interpret writings by Albert Camus, Franz Kafka, Simone de Beauvoir, Samuel Beckett and José Saramago. Each piece functions as a circular “fiber response,” translating existential reflection into tactile form.
The exhibition opens October 17 with an artist and collector preview and continues through December 20 at The CAMP Gallery in North Miami. Throughout its run, Don’t Be Absurd will feature gallery talks, workshops and conversations with artists and curators examining the evolving role of fiber art in contemporary discourse.
