Italian art song takes focus in an afternoon recital at FIU.
Dundas Studio Recital: Canto d’Amore – An Afternoon of Italian Song takes place Sunday, March 15 at the Herbert and Nicole Wertheim School of Music & Performing Arts. The performance features voice students of Prof. Robert B. Dundas in a program dedicated to Italy’s rich vocal tradition.
The recital explores Italian art songs spanning the bel canto elegance of the 19th century to the dramatic and lyrical expression of the 20th. Presented in an intimate concert setting, the program highlights works by renowned opera composers heard beyond the grand stage, revealing a more personal and poetic dimension of their music.
Admission is free.
