Emmet Cohen’s “Live From Emmet’s Place” comes to the Knight Concert Hall on Friday, May 8, presented as part of the Adrienne Arsht Center’s Jazz Roots series. What began as a livestream during the pandemic has evolved into a touring experience that channels the spirit of Harlem rent parties and the spontaneity of late-night jazz sessions.

Joined by his trio and surprise guest artists, Cohen recreates the warm, communal energy of his New York apartment with top-tier musicianship and dynamic interplay. The performance offers audiences a front-row seat to a contemporary jazz tradition rooted in swing, improvisation and connection.
