Empire of the Sun

Australian electronic duo Empire of the Sun brings its theatrical, synth-driven sound to Miami with a large-scale live production shaped by visual storytelling and immersive design. The performance takes place Wednesday, September 16 at the FPL Solar Amphitheater, featuring support from French electronic duo Polo & Pan and electro-funk group Midnight Generation. The concert is part of the group’s Ask That God: Afterlife tour.

Formed by Luke Steele and Nick Littlemore, Empire of the Sun is known for blending electronic pop with cinematic aesthetics, creating music that pairs melodic hooks with expansive, atmospheric production. Since their debut album Walking on a Dream, the group has built a global following through songs like “We Are the People” and “Alive,” along with festival appearances at events such as Coachella, Lollapalooza and Glastonbury.

The current tour expands on the conceptual world introduced in their album Ask That God, incorporating new material alongside earlier releases. Their live performances are recognized for combining music, costume and stage design into a cohesive visual and sonic experience, with each show unfolding as a narrative-driven production.
