Family Funday: Haitian Heritage Community Celebration

Haitian music, food, storytelling and family activities come together for a community celebration in Little Haiti. Family Funday 2026: Haitian Heritage Community Celebration takes place Sunday, May 31 from 1 to 5 p.m. at Little Haiti Soccer Park. Held during Haitian Heritage Month, the event highlights Haitian cultural expression while creating a family-friendly gathering space for neighbors, creatives, local vendors and community organizations.

The afternoon features live music and performances, cultural dance, storytelling, games, food vendors, a marketplace-style vendor area, giveaways and community resources. Activities are designed for a broad range of ages, from children and teens to parents, elders and young professionals.

Presented with local community partners, the event also supports small businesses, artists and local entrepreneurs through vendor opportunities and on-site visibility. The program is led by Erace The Hate and will include photo, video and digital storytelling components documenting the people, culture and community connections behind the celebration.
