Family Poetry at the Vizcaya Village

Interactive poetry activities invite families to explore creative writing during a community gathering at Vizcaya Village in Miami. Family Poetry at the Vizcaya Village takes place Sunday, April 12 as part of the O, Miami Poetry Festival.

Held during the weekly Vizcaya Village Farmers Market, the drop-in program introduces children and families to poetry through hands-on prompts and collaborative activities inspired by food, nature and community life. Presented in collaboration with O, Miami, the experience encourages participants to experiment with language and share their own short poems while enjoying the open-air market setting.

The activity is free and open to all ages on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. Visitors can also explore the farmers market throughout the morning, where local vendors offer fresh produce, baked goods and artisan products.
