Contemporary circus, immersive theater and horror effects converge in a touring production that extends the action beyond the stage at Seminole Theatre in Homestead. Fear Circus Unleashed takes place Saturday, August 29, with aerialists, acrobats, contortionists and roaming characters incorporated into a 90-minute theatrical experience. The production uses movement, music, industrial-inspired sound, lighting and visual storytelling rather than dialogue to build an atmosphere of suspense.
Presented by Taconhy Production House, the show combines circus performance with horror imagery and audience interaction, with performers moving throughout the theater and appearing from different parts of the venue. Elements include aerial acts, dark acrobatics, elaborate costumes and makeup, simulated violence and blood effects.
The performance is recommended for ages 16 and older and includes loud sound effects, strobe lighting, theatrical haze, extended darkness and performers moving through the audience. An intermission is included, and doors open one hour before the performance.
