The FIU New Music Ensemble presents an evening devoted to contemporary works that push the boundaries of sound and performance. Featuring compositions by living composers and experimental pieces from the late 20th century onward, the program highlights innovative approaches to rhythm, texture and instrumentation.
Directed by FIU faculty, the ensemble is made up of student performers exploring new techniques and collaborative forms of music-making. FIU New Music Ensemble takes place Tuesday, November 25 at the Herbert and Nicole Wertheim Performing Arts Center.
