Miami’s fastest weekend is quickly approaching, as the Formula 1 Hard Rock Miami Grand Prix takes over the Miami International Autodrome Circuit at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, April 30 to May 2, 2027.

It’s the perfect mix of sporting event and party, as well-heeled race fans from across the world descend on Greater Miami and Miami Beach for a weekend that’s so much more than a race. Yes, Miami’s F1 event is one of the most prestigious races on the circuit, attracting the top drivers and racing teams. But it’s also a destination event for race fans and non-fans alike, drawing a diverse crowd with top-tier local food, exciting activations, music performances and, of course, lavish luxury experiences.

Here’s everything we know about the 2027 F1 Miami Grand Prix right now.

What is the Formula 1 Hard Rock Miami Grand Prix?

Formula 1 differs from other kinds of auto racing not just in the types of cars – single-seaters with open cockpits and wheels – but also in the scene surrounding it, with hospitality tents, celebrities and weekend-long parties.

The 19-turn, 3.36-mile Circuit track winds past a man-made beach and marina, palm trees, grandstands and numerous fan zones. Drivers reach an estimated top speed of nearly 200 miles per hour and cover a little over 191 miles in around an hour and a half. So don’t get out of your seat, because at these speeds, even a short break means missing loads of action.

The Miami race will be the sixth of this year’s 24-race F1 season, which starts in Bahrain on March 12, then visits global hotspots like Monaco, Barcelona, Dubai and Singapore, among other destinations, before winding up in Abu Dhabi in early December.

In 2027, the circuit has added races in Portugal, Turkey and Madrid, too. Formula 1’s top drivers, including defending Miami Grand Prix champion Kimi Antonelli, past winners Max Verstappen and Lando Norris, and fan-favorite and seven-time F1 champion Lewis Hamilton, among others, will be racing for the top prizes.

F1 Miami Weekend Schedule

The 2027 schedule begins on Friday, April 30, and will include the F1 drivers taking practice laps, qualifying for the Sprint races and practice sessions for the Porsche Carrera Cup, in which drivers race identical Porsche 911 GT3 Cup cars.

On Saturday, May 1, there will be Sprint races and qualifying for Sunday’s big race, as well as qualifying and first races in the Porsche Carrera Cup.

Sunday, May 2 will kick off with the second Porsche Carrera races, followed by the Formula 1 drivers parade and the main event, the Formula 1 Hard Rock Miami Grand Prix.

The Experience Beyond The Track

Expect an entire weekend of parties, performances and other events both on and off the race site. While specific musical guests will be announced closer to race day, previous performers have included John Summit, Zedd, Nelly, and Marshmello. In addition to musical artists, Hard Rock Stadium will be filled with F1-inspired works by local artists, including racing murals and sculptures.

Ticket Options

The Formula 1 Hard Rock Miami Grand Prix has sold out each of its five years. And this year, tickets went on sale even earlier, starting September 24 at noon.

There are a number of ways to attend the Formula 1 Hard Rock Miami Grand Prix, with ticket options ranging from general grounds passes to ultra-premium suites and clubs. The most budget-friendly way to attend the race is with a Campus Pass, which gets you onto the race grounds (but no seat). It’s ideal if you just want to soak up the experience and watch the cars zooming by on a big screen or from behind the fences.

If you want an actual seat and a great view of the races, sit in the Beach Grandstands along turns 11 and 12 . Other grandstand areas around the track include the Marina Grandstands and grandstands at Turn 1 and Turn 18, among others.

The general Grandstand Pass gives you the option to sit in a different grandstand area for each day of racing, with a reserved seat offering different perspectives for every day. For race fans, or those curious about F1, it’s one of the best ways to experience the Grand Prix.

The 2027 race also brings the return of the popular Grandstand+ presented by Heineken tickets, which include parking, a gondola ride, an exclusive Friday kickoff party and discounts on merchandise. To participate, fans need only buy a three-day Grandstand ticket, then automatically renew for 2028.

Premium Seating for the Ultimate in F1 Luxury

For those who can swing something even more luxurious, seven different club areas are available. All have food and drinks, shade and, in the case of the Hard Rock Beach Club, a swimming pool.

The most luxurious among them is the Paddock Club, located just after the Start/Finish line along Turn 1. This year, the Paddock Club has expanded to 350,000 square feet, accommodating a record 9,000 guests. This makes it one of the largest Paddock Clubs in F1, with food and drinks from DO & CO. The 2027 Miami Grand Prix also marks the first time Paddock Club tickets will be on sale to the general public.

The impressive MSC Yacht Club is also back for 2027, offering a five-story, superyacht-style home base in the middle of the Marina area. It sits along turns 5-9, offering one of the more panoramic views of the race track, with premium food and drinks from MSC Cruises.

Stake Out The Best Views

Among the six grandstand areas, the seats at the Start/Finish Line offer some of the best views of the action (the Turn 1 Grandstand also promises great views). The Turn 18 Grandstand sits right on the pits and offers views of three turns along the course’s busiest – and fastest – stretch.

If you want to party while watching the race, the Marina Grandstand might be your best choice. It allows unlimited access to the Marina area, with food, cocktails and large screens showing the race. Each grandstand will also feature its own fan zone, where you’ll find food from local restaurants and plenty to drink. Campus Pass holders will also have access to the Marina area, although getting onto one of the yachts parked there isn’t included.

For the first time this year, fans of specific racing teams can sit in designated fan sections in the grandstands. So if you’re a fan of Scuderia Ferrari HP, Atlassian Williams, Audi Revolut, McLaren Mastercard, Oracle Red Bull Racing, TGR Haas, Cadillac or the Visa Cash App Racing Bulls, you can finally enjoy the action among your people.

Tips For Attending The Race

• F1 races are loud. That doesn’t detract from the fun, but come prepared with ear plugs if you have sensitive ears (or noise-cancelling headphones for little ones).
• Wear sunscreen and make sure you drink plenty of water, especially if you’re consuming alcohol.
• Rideshares will be available to and from the stadium, but they usually pick up and drop off at Norwood Elementary School, a 15- to 20-minute walk from the track.
• For those opting not to drive, Brightline, Florida’s high-speed rail service, offers a direct route to the Aventura Station, where a regularly scheduled complimentary shuttle service will take you to and from the stadium.
• Tri-Rail will also offer service to the Golden Glades station, with regular shuttles departing for the stadium.
• Additionally, Miami-Dade County’s comprehensive public transit network provides alternate routes via Metrorail and Metrobus.
