Gelli Plate Printmaking
May 30, 2026
From: 10:30 AM to 3:30 PM
A hands-on printmaking workshop at Oolite Arts introduces participants to gelli plate techniques through an experimental, process-driven approach. The session takes place Saturday, May 30, led by multimedia artist Kaili Woop.
The workshop covers foundational methods for creating prints on both paper and fabric, using layering, texture and transfer techniques to build dynamic compositions. Participants explore collagraph and monotype processes while working with found materials and spontaneous mark-making, emphasizing intuition and creative exploration.
Woop, whose practice spans printmaking and wearable art, guides the session through demonstrations, prompts and group discussion. Open to all experience levels, the workshop concludes with a collection of finished prints and an understanding of how gelli printing can be applied across fine art and functional design.
