GENA
Apr 09, 2026
From: 7:00 PM to midnight
Alternative R&B duo GENA performs live at ZeyZey Miami, bringing a genre-blurring blend of neo-soul, jazz and experimental R&B to the Little River venue. Taking place Thursday, April 9, the evening set highlights the collaborative project between singer-songwriter Liv.e and Detroit-based producer and multi-instrumentalist Karriem Riggins.
Short for God Energy, Naturally Amazing, GENA merges Liv.e’s expressive vocals and unconventional songwriting with Riggins’ jazz-rooted production and percussion. Their sound draws from neo-soul, psychedelic soul and alternative R&B, creating a fluid style shaped by improvisation and groove. Liv.e has gained recognition through collaborations with artists such as Earl Sweatshirt and MIKE, while Riggins is widely respected for his work as a jazz drummer and hip-hop producer. Together, the duo explore themes of relationships, identity and emotional introspection across richly layered, rhythm-driven tracks.
The performance takes place at ZeyZey Miami, an open-air cultural venue and community gathering space known for hosting global live music, DJ sets and creative programming. Guests can enjoy seasonal cocktails, natural wines and non-alcoholic beverages alongside food from Tacos María, serving grass-fed, seed-oil-free tacos made without industrial seed oils.
Entry is free. Age restrictions may apply depending on the event schedule.
