Hope Becoming Home
Nov 19, 2025 - Jan 25, 2026
weekly on Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday
From: 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM
An exhibition exploring memory, identity and the idea of home brings together new work by four Miami-based women artists.
Hope Becoming Home is on view November 19–March 31 at the Jewish Museum of Florida-FIU, presenting a collaborative installation that reflects on placemaking and personal history through photographic media, fiber arts and mixed modalities. The exhibition considers how stories of migration, fragmentation and recollection shape the ways individuals create meaning across generations.
Featuring contributions from Dahlia Dreszer, Amy Gelb, Karla Kantorovich and Patricia San Pedro, the presentation draws on family archives, inherited objects and cultural narratives to examine the shifting boundaries between belonging and transience. By weaving together perspectives from across the globe to Miami, the exhibition positions hope as both a location and an ongoing practice of returning to or redefining home. An opening reception takes place November 19 from 7 to 9 p.m.
