Experience the soulful sounds of Isle of Klezbos, the captivating sister sextet that brings a kaleidoscope of vibrant modal and syncopated melodies to audiences worldwide. This all-female ensemble weaves vintage and original music, transporting listeners through genres ranging from Yiddish swing to tango, as well as spellbinding traditional dance tunes.
Isle of Klezbos approaches the Yiddish musical tradition with both irreverence and deep respect. The all-female sextet will soon be releasing a new album as a follow-up to their award-winning debut "Greetings from the Isle of Klezbos" and the acclaimed concert recording "Live From Brooklyn." They've made appearances on HBO, NPR, CBS Sunday Morning, PBS, and The L Word, and collaborated with notable artists including Jill Sobule, Gregg Bordowitz, and Grammy-nominated band Scissor Sisters. Klezbos band members are alumni of Juilliard, Eastman, Berklee, Manhattan Schools of Music and Harvard’s Department of Russian History & Literature.
