Jaguar Parade Welcome Ceremony
Jun 25, 2026
Starting: 10:00 AM
Large-scale jaguar sculptures bring public art and conservation awareness to Ocean Drive during a welcome ceremony in Miami Beach. Jaguar Parade Welcome Ceremony takes place Thursday, June 25, at 10 a.m. in Lummus Park at 7th Street and Ocean Drive.
The ceremony marks the arrival of Jaguar Parade to Miami Beach, where five colorful jaguar sculptures will be installed as part of a countywide public art exhibition during World Cup season. The Miami Beach works are connected to the city’s Sister Cities program, including Brazilian partners Rio de Janeiro and Fortaleza.
Created and produced by Artery, Jaguar Parade uses open-air sculpture exhibitions to raise awareness about jaguar conservation, biodiversity and ecological balance. The jaguar, the largest feline in the Americas, is considered a keystone species, and the project invites artists to interpret its cultural and environmental significance through public artwork.
At the conclusion of the exhibition, the sculptures will be auctioned, with net proceeds supporting Onçafari, a Brazilian nonprofit focused on jaguar research, protection, ecotourism and reintroduction efforts. Miami Beach installation sites are expected to include the Miami Beach Bandshell, Lincoln Road and Ocean Drive.
