Juneteenth at Miami Children's Museum
Jun 19, 2025
All day.
Families are invited to commemorate Juneteenth through hands-on art activities that highlight themes of freedom, heritage and community at the Miami Children’s Museum. Throughout the day, visitors can design personalized “freedom crowns” using vibrant colors, meaningful words and celebratory decorations, then contribute to a collaborative quilt project inspired by African American quilting traditions.
The Juneteenth Celebration takes place on Thursday, June 19 and is included with regular museum admission. These interactive experiences encourage reflection on the significance of Juneteenth while offering a creative space for children and caregivers to explore concepts of identity, resilience and cultural pride together.
