Join Florida International University for the fourth annual Juneteenth Freedom Day Celebration on Saturday, June 15 at the FIU Dotson Family Pavilion. Juneteenth, the oldest known commemoration of the end of slavery in the United States, is a day to celebrate African American freedom and achievement, while also encouraging continuous self-development.
This free, family-friendly event is open to everyone and promises something for all ages. Enjoy live performances by local artists, discover unique treasures from artisan vendors, participate in engaging activities and be entertained by dancers. Food trucks will be on hand to satisfy your appetite, and there will be raffles with exciting prizes.
Bring your lawn chairs or mats and settle in for a day of community, fun and remembrance.
Please note: There's a separate event for those over 21 at The Frost Museum during their Summer Exhibition Party. The Bacardi Lounge will be open from 1:00-5:00 pm, but registration is required.
