Kinoplex X Dudes Done Wrong Movie Night: Stone (1974)
Aug 23, 2026
From: 9:00 PM to 11:30 PM
A 1970s biker thriller screens at Churchill’s Pub as part of Kinoplex’s recurring bar-room film series in Little Haiti. The Sunday, August 23 presentation features Stone (1974), directed by Sandy Harbutt, with Ryan Starsailor introducing the film as part of Dudes Done Wrong. The monthly guest-curated series focuses on films built around characters who have been betrayed, defeated or otherwise pushed to the edge.
Kinoplex is a weekly Sunday movie night at Churchill’s Pub, where community guests and local filmmakers can select and introduce films. Dudes Done Wrong, originally developed as a movie-night concept in Oakland, returns as a monthly Kinoplex installment curated by Starsailor, whose selections are linked by themes of endurance, tragedy, revenge and what happens after a character has been thoroughly wronged.
In Stone, an undercover police officer infiltrates an outlaw biker gang after members begin dying in a series of murders. The screening begins at 9 p.m., with guests invited to grab a drink and settle in for the film.
