Step into a day party that bridges generations of hip-hop, headlined by two pioneers who helped shape the sound of the streets in the ’80s. The Klassik Presents MANTRONIX & JUST-ICE concert takes place on Friday, July 4 at Tomorrowland Miami.
Mantronix, fronted by the trailblazing Kurtis Mantronik, brought a futuristic edge to hip hop with cuts like “Needle to the Groove” and “Fresh Is the Word”—tracks that still sample well into today’s playlists. Their fusion of hip-hop, electro, and club music laid the groundwork for developments across multiple genres.
Joining the lineup is Bronx mic legend Just-Ice, known for his raw delivery and foundational role in East Coast rap. His debut album, Back to the Old School—produced by Mantronik—featured the underground classic “Put the Record Back On.”
Presented by Klassik in celebration of 40 years in hip-hop culture, the event offers fans an opportunity to experience live performances from artists whose innovations helped define the genre’s early sound.
