Lion's Den: Dennis Ferrer, Manumat, Lou Flores

A Race Weekend night at Lion’s Den brings influential house music producer and DJ Dennis Ferrer to the intimate vinyl lounge above Fooq’s in Little River. Taking place Saturday, May 2, the late-night event features Ferrer alongside Manumat and Lou Flores for an evening rooted in deep, soulful and groove-driven house.

Ferrer has been a prominent figure in house music since the early 1990s, known for moving across afro house, soulful house, techno and deep/tech house while maintaining a strong connection to the genre’s dancefloor foundations. His work as both a producer and DJ has helped shape contemporary house music, with a style that balances rhythmic intensity and emotional depth.

Located on the second floor of Fooq’s, Lion’s Den is designed as an intimate listening room with a curated vinyl collection, immersive sound system and a focus on disco, funk, soul and house-inspired sets. The Race Weekend event runs into the early morning hours, with a cover charge possible.
