Lion's Den: Felix Da Housecat, Jason Rault, Malin Linnea

A Race Weekend night at Lion’s Den brings house music figure Felix Da Housecat to the intimate vinyl lounge above Fooq’s in Little River. Taking place Friday, May 1, the late-night event features Felix Da Housecat alongside Jason Rault and Malin Linnea for a sound-focused club experience.

A two-time Grammy-nominated DJ and producer, Felix Da Housecat emerged from the Detroit and Chicago electronic music scenes and became known for releases under several aliases, including Aphrohead and Thee Maddkatt Courtship. His catalog includes tracks such as “Silver Screen” and “Madame Hollywood,” along with collaborations and remixes connected to artists including Miss Kittin, LCD Soundsystem’s James Murphy, Nina Simone, Madonna and Kylie Minogue.

Located on the second floor of Fooq’s, Lion’s Den is designed as an intimate listening room with a curated vinyl collection, immersive sound system and a focus on disco, funk, soul and house-inspired sets. The Race Weekend event runs into the early morning hours, offering a late-night option within Little River’s growing dining and nightlife scene.
