Marcus Blake, Monsters & Robots
Aug 28, 2026
From: 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM
Geometric forms, stark contrast and questions about technology shape a new art experience by Miami-based multidisciplinary artist Marcus Blake. Marcus Blake, Monsters & Robots takes place Friday, August 28 in Miami Shores, inviting visitors to meet the artist and view a new body of work centered on the relationship between humanity, identity, artificial intelligence and machine culture.
The exhibition imagines a world where humans, monsters, robots and cities begin to merge. In Blake’s visual language, monsters represent hidden human impulses such as fear, desire, ego and imperfection, while robots point to automation, algorithms, repetition and society’s growing dependence on technology. The work considers how the tools people create may also reshape the people they become.
Blake is a Jamaican-born, Miami-based artist whose practice spans visual art, street art, poetry, performance, fashion and event production. Known for vivid geometric patterns, architectural forms and a method he calls “Tapenology,” his work has appeared in solo and group exhibitions, public murals, live painting projects and commercial installations throughout Miami.
