Mariaca Semprún en Homenaje a Rocío Dúrcal

A live tribute concert reinterprets the music of Rocío Dúrcal through the voice and stage presence of Venezuelan singer and actress Mariaca Semprún.

Mariaca Semprún en Homenaje a Rocío Dúrcal at the Adrienne Arsht Center features Semprún performing classics such as “La gata bajo la lluvia,” “Me nace del corazón,” “Como tú mujer” and “Ya te olvidé,” accompanied by a live band and Mariachi México Internacional under the musical direction of Gilberto Ferrer. The program blends narration, visual design and mariachi instrumentation to evoke the aesthetic closely associated with Dúrcal’s career across Ibero-America.

The concert, performed in Spanish, takes place on Sunday, March 15 and reflects Semprún’s ongoing series of musical tributes following previous projects centered on La Lupe and Edith Piaf.
