Melvys Barrios

Latin, R&B and jazz influences come together in an outdoor concert on the Ocean Drive lawn featuring vocalist Melvys Barrios and pianist Michael Eckroth. The free performance takes place Sunday, May 31 in Lummus Park as part of the Ocean Drive Promenade Music Series. Presented weekly by the Ocean Drive Association, the series brings live music to Miami Beach’s Ocean Drive area in a casual, open-air setting.

Barrios, a Miami-born vocalist, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and visual artist, is known for expressive performances shaped by a broad creative background. She is joined by Eckroth, a Grammy-nominated pianist whose work spans jazz and Latin American traditions.

Guests are encouraged to bring a picnic blanket or lawn chair for seating on the lawn between 14th Street and 14th Place. The concert is free and open to the public. In case of rain, the performance moves indoors to The Betsy Hotel.
