A blend of virtuosity and theatrical flair defines pianist Mia Vassilev’s performances, which combine classical technique with retro showmanship.

As part of the Aventura Concert Series 2025–2026, Mia Vassilev appears at Kalos Music and Art School on Saturday, May 9, 2026. Originally from rural Kansas, she has built an international career as a soloist, chamber musician and opera accompanist, with credits including the Metropolitan Opera, Florida Grand Opera and festivals in Italy and Austria. Her Miami ties include directing large-scale, 10-piano concerts through Miami Piano Circle and producing recordings across labels such as Naxos and Navona. Vassilev’s stage shows, including MIA: Keys on Fire! and RHAPSODIC, are known for weaving humor and storytelling into her eclectic repertoire.
