The details below reflect programming from the 2026 edition of the Miami Beach Pride Parade. This information offers context for what attendees can expect.
Miami Beach Pride Parade Kicked Off With All The Fun
The Miami Beach Pride Parade caps off Miami Beach Pride 2026, a 12-day celebration running from April 2-12. This year’s theme is “Pride is infinite,” highlighting the perseverance of the LGBTQ community, and its enduring legacy of identity and love.
The parade began at noon on Sunday, April 12, running from 5th Street to 14th Street along Ocean Drive. This year’s grand marshal was Latrice Royale. Previous grand marshals have included activist Sasha Colby, actor Jonathan Bennett and husband Jaymes Vaughan.
The parade finished in the mid-afternoon and lead into the annual Pride Festival in Lummus Park.
The two-day festival brought together the best in live music, drag performers and food and drink, with a special Delta VIP Lounge that included an open bar, elevated viewpoints and air-conditioned private bathrooms.
How to Get to the Miami Beach Pride Parade
With big crowds expected and multiple street closures, the easiest way to get to the Miami Beach Pride Parade is via public transportation. Those staying in Miami Beach can take the Miami Beach Trolley, which stops at several places near the route along Ocean Drive.
If you’re driving to the parade, you’ll find city garages on 7th Street between Collins and Washington Avenues, as well as on 12th and 13th Streets. Another parking option is the city garage at the end of the MacArthur Causeway on 5th Street and Alton Road. It’s less than a mile from Lummus Park.
Those coming from Aventura, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, West Palm Beach or Orlando can take the high-speed Brightline train to MiamiCentral Station in Downtown Miami and then take a rideshare from the station to Miami Beach.
This year, the City of Miami Beach introduced a free water taxi that runs from the Venetian Marina & Yacht Club in Downtown Miami to Maurice Gibb Park in Miami Beach. From there, you can easily jump on the Miami Beach Trolley.
As of the writing of this article, the ferry was running Monday to Friday, but service may have been added for special events like Miami Beach Pride.
Another option, of course, was to stay at a hotel that’s close to the parade route and Lummus Park.
How to Watch the Pride Parade
The best place for up-close action is on the sidewalk on Ocean Drive. As with any parade, be sure to get there early for a prime vantage point.
Lummus Park provides a slightly elevated place to watch from, as do many of the sidewalk restaurants and bars along Ocean Drive.
In previous years, the Pride Festival has also offered VIP tickets with access to the exclusive Delta Lounge, which includes a special viewing area, an open bar, light bites and air-conditioned restrooms.
What to Wear to the Pride Parade
If you’ve been to the Pride Parade, you know that almost anything goes as far as attire, so don’t be afraid to be daring.
That said, do remember that afternoon temperatures can get into the upper ‘80s, and with thousands of people around, you’ll want to wear something comfortable. Sunscreen and water are always important, especially if you’re planning to enjoy boozy beverages.
