Miami Springs Centennial Celebration: The Clothesline

A century of Miami Springs history comes to the stage in a locally produced comedy created for the city’s centennial celebration. Pelican Playhouse presents The Clothesline for six performances September 4-13 at the Rebeca Sosa Theater inside the Miami Springs Community Center.

Written by Ralph Wakefield, the production has been updated for the centennial with new scenes and musical numbers that bring episodes from the community’s first 100 years to life. Additional material is by Jorge Calil, Christopher Chisholm, Mary Reed, Max Scaglione, Sofia Alpizar and Hannah Calil.

The production is part of Miami Springs’ yearlong observance of its 100th anniversary.
