At the peak of the summer season, venues across Miami Beach are preparing to welcome a fusion of culture and community with the 17th annual Miami Takeover from July 25–28, 2025. This highly anticipated event bridges Washington, DC and Miami Beach in a weekend rich in Go-Go music, spoken word and art.
Since its inception in 2007, Miami Takeover has drawn notable personalities, including Katt Williams, Red Grant, Lil Duval, Doug E Fresh, MC Lyte and Dave Chappelle, cementing its reputation as a premier summer event celebrating diversity and creativity.

The weekend begins with Welcome to Miami Splashdown, a poolside meet & greet hosted at the Z Ocean Hotel on Friday afternoon. This relaxed event offers guests an opportunity to settle in, connect and enjoy the Miami sun while sampling the signature social atmosphere of the weekend ahead.
Friday Night Live: Miami Nights in White

Friday evening transitions into Miami Nights in White, an all-white attire party held at The Urban. This nightlife experience combines high-energy sets with the vibrant crowd Miami Takeover is known for, kicking off the weekend's festivities in style.
The Art of Go-Go Culture Fest
Saturday, July 26
The cultural centerpiece of Miami Takeover unfolds at the Miami Beach Bandshell on Saturday, July 26, from 5 to 11 p.m. Curated by Demont “Peekaso” Pinder, The Art of Go-Go Culture Fest blends the sounds of Washington, DC’s signature music genre with live art installations and performances. This year’s lineup includes live sets by DJ Quicksilva, Sirius Company, Black Passion, Janae Music and headliners Backyard Band.
Born in the 1970s, Go-Go is known for its percussion-driven rhythm and funk influences and remains a core expression of DC’s musical heritage. This event offers an immersive experience celebrating the sound, spirit and visual culture of the Go-Go tradition.
Can We Talk: The All Black R&B Party

Later that night, Can We Talk: The All Black R&B Party takes over M2 Miami. With smooth vocals and a sultry atmosphere, this evening event invites guests to dress in all black and enjoy an R&B-centered dance party that mixes nostalgia with contemporary flair.
Community Service Beach Sweep

On Sunday morning, the focus shifts to giving back with the Community Service Beach Sweep, starting behind the Marseilles Hotel. This annual volunteer cleanup invites attendees to show appreciation to Miami Beach by helping to maintain its shoreline, reinforcing the event’s dedication to community impact.
Splash: The Daytime Pool Party Finale

The weekend closes with Splash: The Daytime Pool Party Finale at Backyard Miami Beach. This festive gathering combines music, dancing and sun-soaked celebration to send off the 17th Annual Miami Takeover in signature South Beach fashion.
Tickets For the 16th Annual Miami Takeover
For those who want the full experience, a Weekend Party Pass is available for purchase for $199(excluding taxes and fees) to enjoy all that Miami Takeover has to offer. Individual tickets are available for Miami Nights, the Art of Go-Go Culture Fest, the All-Black R&B Party and the Daytime Pool Party Finale for anyone 21 and older. Tickets to the Welcome to Miami Splashdown event are sold out. Starting prices range from $45 to $55 depending on the event, with higher pricing for VIP tickets. The Community Service Beach Sweep is free.
