Miamibloco’s Bateria Saideira with Rum & Coke takes place Thursday, October 16 at the Euclid Oval on Lincoln Road as part of the City of Miami Beach’s OnStage! series. The evening begins with DJ sets from Kumi, Harold Fandiño, and Jesús Rodríguez before Miamibloco’s intergenerational samba orchestra fills the plaza with the pulse of Afro-Brazilian percussion. Rum & Coke rounds out the night with a dance set rooted in the classic sounds of the Caribbean and Latin America from the 1960s through the 1980s. The free event celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month with music, dance and community in a public space.
