Nights In Necropolis: Deep Red, Offerings & More

Darkwave, post-punk and EBM set the pulse for a late-night program featuring live performances by Miami electronic duo Deep Red and Offerings. The event takes place Saturday, August 29 from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m. at Churchill’s Pub in Little Haiti, with live music beginning at 10 p.m.

Formed in 1996 by vocalist and lyricist Martha M. Arce and synthesist-producer DC Astro, Deep Red combines cinematic electronics, goth-rock and industrial rhythms. The duo gained early recognition when “Holy You” appeared on Cleopatra Records’ The Goth Box, leading to a European tour with Project Pitchfork. Its recent Atom Rot EP extends a Cold War-inspired series of dark electronic releases. (Deep Red)

Giorgio Ardito of Zeitgeist appears as Botanic Shop Boys for a special vinyl DJ set, while resident DJ Lady Reaper supplies additional selections throughout the night. Advance admission is $11.25 for guests ages 21 and older. Door admission is $15 for ages 21 and older and $20 for guests under 21.
