Noche De Arte: O. Gustavo Plascencia

Live artmaking, collage and conversation bring a Pride Month focus to Noche de Arte at InterContinental Miami. The free weekly series takes place every Monday in June at Gallery 100, featuring artist-in-residence O. Gustavo Plascencia. Presented by collaboARTive, the program invites hotel guests, locals and visitors to gather for an informal evening of art, creative participation and community connection.

Plascencia is a visual artist and educator whose work explores photography, nature, memory and the relationship between personal and collective histories. His practice often uses walking methodologies to document local ecosystems, treating landscapes as quiet records of place, movement and lived experience. Born in Mexico and now based in Miami, he serves as Dean of Visual Arts at New World School of the Arts.

Each Monday session includes a chance to meet the featured artist, observe live studio-style work and take part in a hands-on collage activity. No prior art experience is required, and light bites are provided by InterContinental Miami. Noche de Arte is a recurring series that features a different artist each month, often connected to heritage months or community celebrations.
