Aug 29, 2026
From: 09:00 AM to 11:30 AM
A guided kayak tour explores seagrass beds, sand flats, fossilized reef and mangrove habitat along the waters of Key Biscayne. The excursion takes place Saturday, August 29, departing from the Crandon Visitors & Nature Center. Led by Miami EcoAdventures, the 3.5-mile paddle combines wildlife viewing with interpretation of the area’s ecology and natural history.
Participants may encounter fish, eagle rays, queen conch and other marine life while traveling through the shallow coastal ecosystems of Bear Cut Preserve. Standard kayaks are included, with an optional clear-kayak upgrade available for an additional $10 per person.
The program is open to adults and to children ages 9 to 17 accompanied by a registered parent or guardian. Participants should arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled start time. Programs are subject to minimum enrollment, weather and environmental conditions.
