Olé!: The Lyric Concert Series - Zarzuela Highlights

Spanish lyric theater takes the focus in a concert of zarzuela highlights blending operatic voices, theatrical storytelling and folk-influenced rhythms. Olé!: The Lyric Concert Series - Zarzuela Highlights in Concert takes place Saturday, May 30 at Coral Gables Congregational Church.

Presented by Florida L’Opera & Zarzuela, the program features solos and ensembles from classic zarzuela works. Originating in Spain in the 17th century, zarzuela combines sung and spoken passages and later developed across Latin America, where it absorbed regional musical influences.

The concert features international singers Roxana Triana, Josué Brizuela and Enrique Estrada, accompanied by pianist Eden Marte. The program is presented with support from the City of Coral Gables Cultural Arts Division.
