Opera & All-Stars with Bernie Williams, Jonathan Tetelman & Friends

A baseball legend and an internationally acclaimed tenor share the stage for a cross-genre concert that brings opera and sports into the same spotlight at the Adrienne Arsht Center. Presented by Florida Grand Opera and AllStar Encore, on Wednesday, May 6, Opera & All-Stars With Bernie Williams and Jonathan Tetelman & Friends takes place at the Knight Concert Hall, pairing former New York Yankees center fielder Bernie Williams with Chilean-American tenor Jonathan Tetelman. The program explores the parallels between elite athletics and classical performance, highlighting the discipline, resilience and technical mastery required in both fields.

Tetelman has earned international recognition for leading roles at major opera houses and concert halls, while Williams, a classically trained guitarist in addition to his baseball career, has released several jazz albums and performed in prestigious venues including Carnegie Hall. The Miami presentation follows an earlier performance in New York and features additional guest artists for an evening of collaborative repertoire that bridges musical styles.

The concert also marks the closing celebration of Florida Grand Opera’s Voice of Wellness initiative, a program supported by both Tetelman and Williams.
