PAMM Art Storytime: Scribbles & Stories
Apr 25, 2026
From: 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM
A family-friendly museum program introduces young children to art, storytelling and hands-on creativity at Pérez Art Museum Miami. Taking place Saturday, April 25, PAMM Art Storytime: Scribbles & Stories is designed for Pre-K students and their caregivers.
The session begins with a short, interactive gallery tour inspired by the expressive, gesture-based work of artist Cy Twombly, followed by a reading of The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle. After the story, participants create their own artwork using colorful scribbles and collage techniques, translating the book’s themes into a playful visual format.
The program also includes a visit from Pelican Harbor Seabird Station, offering an introduction to local wildlife through up-close observation. Free with RSVP, the event provides an accessible way for young audiences to engage with art and early literacy in a museum setting.
