Peace Day Picnic at Patch

Step into nature for a thoughtful celebration of peace, mindfulness and community in honor of the International Day of Peace.

The Peace Day Picnic at Patch takes place Sunday, September 21 at Patch of Heaven Sanctuary, a 20-acre preserve dedicated to mindful living and environmental stewardship. The experience includes a silent forest walk, a guided reflection on forgiveness and compassion, and a hands-on medallion-painting activity using recycled wood to express wishes for peace. Guests will also enjoy light bites, sound healing and a dedication ceremony at Florida’s only Peace Tree, now adorned with over 100 hand-painted medallions.

Led by Suzanne Jewell, founder of the Mindful Pocket Park and director of Patch’s Mindful Nature Guide training, the event begins promptly at 11:00 a.m. with peaceful programming scheduled throughout the day. Participants are invited to pause, connect and cultivate inner calm in a setting designed to inspire lasting reflection.
