A hip-hop pioneer brings his lyric-driven legacy to Midline Miami in Wynwood.

Rakim performs Thursday, March 19. Widely regarded as one of the most influential lyricists in hip-hop history, Rakim rose to prominence as one half of Eric B. & Rakim, helping redefine flow, internal rhyme and narrative complexity in late-1980s rap. His solo work has continued to position him as both an elder statesman and an active creative voice within the genre.

The performance is part of Rakim’s ongoing live run in support of G.O.D.S Network (REB7RTH), a collaborative album that pairs his production and verses with contributions from artists spanning multiple generations of hip-hop, including Nipsey Hussle, DMX, Prodigy, Snoop Dogg, Method Man and Kool G. Rap. The project reflects Rakim’s continued engagement with the culture, balancing classic East Coast sensibilities with contemporary collaborations.

The show takes place at Midline Miami, a new Wynwood venue designed as a flexible, artist-forward space emphasizing sound, atmosphere and audience connection.
