Reading Party: The Betsy Hotel Edition

Readers gather at The Betsy Hotel’s Bbar for a quiet social hour built around books, conversation and community. Reading Party: The Betsy Hotel Edition takes place Sunday, June 28 in Miami Beach, presented as part of the Books & Books at The Betsy Hotel series.

Hosted by Alyssa Expósito, the event follows the Books & Books Literary Foundation’s silent reading party format: guests bring a book, choose one from The Betsy’s library or borrow from a lending library, then read together in shared silence before opening the room for conversation. The gathering is designed to be low-pressure and social, pairing independent reading time with a chance to discuss what participants are reading.

Expósito, a Miami native and graduate of the University of Miami and Columbia University, works with Books & Books as Social Media Manager and with the Books & Books Literary Foundation as a Program Coordinator. The Foundation supports literary programming, author events and book access throughout the community.

The monthly Books & Books at The Betsy Hotel series marks the return of Books & Books literary programming to Miami Beach, building on a long-running partnership between The Betsy and Greater Miami’s independent bookstore community. The event is free and open to the public, with RSVP recommended.
