Romare Live

An open-air night at ZeyZey Miami features Romare, the U.K.-based producer whose music bridges dancefloor momentum with collage-driven composition and deep musical lineage.

The Romare project is the creative alias of Archie Fairhurst, whose practice draws inspiration from the visual and sonic philosophy of American artist Romare Bearden. Much like Bearden’s collages, Fairhurst builds richly textured tracks from fragments of existing material, layering rhythm, melody and history into something distinctly his own. The result is electronic music that feels both exploratory and grounded, equally suited to focused listening and late-night movement.

Across releases including Projections, Love Songs, Pt. 2 and Home, Romare has expanded his sound from sample-heavy house and downtempo into work that incorporates live instrumentation, disco-inflected grooves and references to Black musical traditions spanning jazz, soul and funk. In live and club settings, his performances balance structure and spontaneity, reshaping recorded material in real time with the flexibility and intuition of a seasoned bandleader.

Romare Live 2026 takes place Friday, February 13 at ZeyZey Miami. This event is 18+.
