Sabor Latino: A Celebration of Heritage

Live Latin music, community recognition and a spirit of generosity come together at La Poubelle Piano Bar for AYUDA’s annual pre-Salsa Fest fundraiser. The Sabor Latino: A Celebration of Heritage event on Thursday, September 18 honors National Hispanic Heritage Month while supporting AYUDA’s mission to serve Miami families in need. Hosted by David Sexton, the evening includes the presentation of the DeAnne Connolly Graham Legacy Award to an outstanding young woman leader, live music by Mailyn Soulfree and main sponsorship by Melina Almodovar.

A $100 donation includes hors d’oeuvres, two drinks, entertainment and a raffle ticket, with proceeds directly benefiting local families. Guests can also participate in an online auction featuring unique experiences and items, helping to launch Salsa Fest—the free Hispanic Heritage Month celebration held each year at the Miami Beach Bandshell. Since 1977, AYUDA has provided essential resources and support to more than 30,000 families, promoting empowerment, equity and hope across the community.
