Progressive house, trance and melodic club music drive a late-night set from a DJ whose career is closely tied to some of dance music’s most influential rooms. The 21-and-older event takes place Friday, August 14 at Jolene Sound Room in Downtown Miami, with doors opening at 10 p.m. Differ and Nii Tei provide additional sets.

A Grammy-nominated producer and early “superstar DJ,” Sasha rose to prominence during the 1990s through appearances at Twilo in New York, The Haçienda in Manchester and fabric in London. Twilo and The Haçienda were central to seminal club scenes on opposite sides of the Atlantic, helping shape the era in which his progressive house and trance sound developed. His catalog also includes “Xpander,” while his collaborations with John Digweed and use of live audio, lighting and video technology helped expand the possibilities of DJ performance.
