A Miami-set crime epic closes out the holiday weekend with an outdoor screening under the South Beach sky. Scarface screens Monday, September 7 at Rooftop Cinema Club South Beach, offering a Labor Day night presentation of Brian De Palma’s 1983 film. Written by Oliver Stone and starring Al Pacino, the film follows Tony Montana, a Cuban refugee who rises through Miami’s drug trade before power, paranoia and violence lead to his collapse.
A remake of the 1932 gangster film of the same name, Scarface became a cult classic known for its operatic scale, quotable dialogue, Giorgio Moroder score and larger-than-life depiction of 1980s excess. The cast also includes Michelle Pfeiffer, Steven Bauer, Robert Loggia and Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio.
Ticket options include Adirondack seating, an Adirondack chair with popcorn and loveseat seating with popcorn, with loveseat tickets sold in pairs. Guests should check the venue’s ticket page for current pricing and seating availability.
