SFCPA Spring Showcase
May 17, 2026
From: noon to 5:30 PM
The South Florida Center for Percussive Arts presents an afternoon of student performances and guest artist appearances at Vivo! at Dolphin Mall. Taking place Sunday, May 17, the Spring Showcase highlights the work of participants across the organization’s programs, from early childhood students to advanced ensembles.
The program begins with individual student recitals at noon, followed by group performances from RhythmFun! percussion ensembles and the SFCPA Advanced Ensemble at 3 p.m. Special guest artists including flutist Magela Herrera and percussionist Brian Potts join the lineup, adding professional collaborations to the student-focused event.
Founded as a nonprofit dedicated to percussion education and community access, SFCPA offers training across classical and world traditions while supporting performance opportunities for students of all ages. The showcase reflects the culmination of a season of study and rehearsal, presented in a family-friendly setting.
