weekly on Sunday, Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday
Fri-Mon: 11:00 AM - 6:00 PM | Thu: 11:00 AM - 9:00 PM
An exhibition of photography and printmaking by women artists explores how memory and lived experience are captured through image and process at Pérez Art Museum Miami. On view from October 16 through June 7, Shadows and Traces: Selections from PAMM’s Collection brings together works that examine the lasting impressions of personal and collective histories.
The exhibition highlights the relationship between photographic images as moments preserved and printmaking as a medium that leaves physical marks, creating a dialogue between fleeting and enduring forms. Through staged compositions and intricate techniques, the featured artists address themes of identity, absence and emotional memory, revealing layers that are not always immediately visible.
Artists in the exhibition include Belkis Ayón, Consuelo Castañeda, Naomi Fisher, María Martínez-Cañas, Ana Mendieta and Joiri Minaya. Together, their works offer a reflective look at how visual practices can document and interpret the intangible aspects of human experience.
