Glass becomes a conduit for color, transformation and storytelling in a lecture by artist Shelley Muzylowski Allen, part of the Palley Glass Artist Lecture Series at the Lowe Art Museum. Drawing on more than 30 years of experience, she reflects on how the fragile strength of glass can embody psychological space, symbolic imagery and our evolving relationship with the natural world.
The lecture takes place Thursday, October 30 at the Lowe Art Museum, University of Miami.
Shelley Muzylowski Allen is a leading contemporary glass artist celebrated for her expressive use of color, layered techniques and dynamic sculptural movement. A former painter who trained under Venetian master Lino Tagliapietra, she is internationally recognized for work that combines technical mastery with a painterly approach to glass.
