Speed Weekend: Carlita

Turkish DJ and producer Carlita brings her globally influenced house sound to Jolene Sound Room for a late-night set during Miami Race Weekend. Taking place Friday, May 1, the 21-and-over event features a lineup that blends international and local talent.

Carlita is joined by a back-to-back set from Miami-based artists Lousy Lover and MeGusta, reflecting the city’s underground electronic music scene. A classically trained multi-instrumentalist, Carlita is known for incorporating live instrumentation, synth work and field recordings into her productions, drawing on influences that range from Turkish psychedelia to rock and contemporary club music.

Held at Jolene Sound Room, an intimate basement venue in downtown Miami, the event centers on a sound-focused club experience with programming that highlights both touring and homegrown artists.
