State of Black Philanthropy Celebration

Celebrate the power of community and the impact of giving at an evening dedicated to honoring Black philanthropy in Miami. With music, live performances, local vendors and community leaders, this event offers a space to reflect, connect and take action in support of grassroots change.
The 10th Annual State of Black Philanthropy Celebration takes place on Thursday, May 22 at The Urban in Historic Overtown. Hosted for the first time as a free, public event by The Miami Foundation, the celebration spotlights the generosity, creativity and leadership within Miami’s Black community.
Guests can enjoy a vibrant lineup including a live DJ, poetry, dancing and performances from Miami-based artists. Food and drink will be available, and attendees will have the opportunity to support 10 local nonprofit organizations doing essential work in Overtown.
The event is open to all and serves as both a celebration and a call to support the people and organizations shaping a stronger, more equitable Miami.
