Still We Rise: The Art of Addonis Parker

Bold portraits, layered symbolism and narrative-driven imagery come together in a new exhibition exploring themes of heritage, struggle and triumph. Still We Rise: The Art of Addonis Parker opens Friday, June 13 with a reception from 6 to 8 p.m. at The ARC in Opa-Locka.

Presented by Ten North Group in recognition of Juneteenth, this solo exhibition features work by Miami-based artist Addonis Parker, whose creative practice spans murals, mixed media and traditional painting. Drawing inspiration from Maya Angelou’s poem Still I Rise, the exhibition highlights the resilience and creativity of the African American experience through Parker’s vibrant, expressive style.

The opening includes an opportunity to meet the artist and explore the gallery’s photo-worthy installations in a welcoming, community-focused setting. Admission is free and open to the public.
